I enjoyed working as an embedded electronics engineer as part of a team of students at The University of Sydney, merging my skills in robotics with my love for motorsport.
PCBA Design
Going from theory to practice is a critical part of an engineer’s initial experience. I learnt a lot in having to design an Electronic Shift Controller - including mechanical analysis, part selection, circuit design, PCBA design and routing, fabrication, and testing.
Before this ESC we had a shift engagement time of 500ms.
With my design we brought shifts down to < 150ms.
Robotics Engineering gave me the ability to be multi-dsciplinary.
